- The APH Series amplifier bypass harnesses are designed to work alongside the AmpPRO Series of amplifier interfaces to keep the factory amplifier intact. This retains data communication to the vehicle for the factory amplifier. Without this communication, the AmpPRO will not work.
- The APH harness includes two sets of connectors: male and female. The male connector(s) plug into the factory amplifier. The female connector(s) plug into the harness removed from the factory amplifier to retain the factory speakers.
- The male connector(s) have short wires, and the female connector(s) have long wires. The wires are longer on the female harness to provide enough length to go to the aftermarket amplifier, if installed close to the factory amplifier.
- For any speakers you want powered by the factory amplifier, connect the long and short wires together.
- The speaker wires must be tested with a tone generator, even if the instructions state what they are. Automotive Manufacturers can change speakers from year to year and also trim to trim.
