This example tutorial is for Feature Set 6, delaying an amp turn-off for 10 seconds. Other times can be used, but a 10 second delay is the simplest as it only requires one press for timer programming.
It is highly available to program the TR7 on a bench for ease of programming and testing. Only perform the installation after the desired function has been tested with a multimeter.
For programming we will be using the Red, Black and Brown wires only.
- Unplug the TR7 and then flip the programming switch to the (ON) position. Plug the TR7 back in.
- Tap the Brown wire to ground (6) times. After a couple seconds the module will flash (6) times for confirmation. Count the flashes to be sure.
- Tap the Brown wire to ground (1) time, wait for (2) rapid flashes, then pulse the Brown wire to ground (1) time. Wait for (4) rapid flashes.
- Wait for a series of fast flashes. This indicates the end of programming.
- If you make a mistake during programming you will have to unplug the TR7 for a second and then start over from step 2.
