If the steering wheel control (SWC) buttons do not work with a PAC RadioPro interface, follow these steps to correct the problem.
Verify the connections:
- Make sure the correct steering wheel connection to the radio is used.
- If the radio uses a steering wheel control wire, ensure the 3.5mm jack is not connected.
- If the radio uses a 3.5mm jack, ensure the Blue/Yellow wire is not connected.
- For Android radios, only use the primary steering control wire, usually labeled Key 1.
- For the Alpine iLX-W670 radio, refer to this document: Alpine iLX-W670.
- For Stinger radios, only use the 3.5mm jack. Disregard the steering wheel control wires.
For interfaces with a rotary dial:
- Unplug the interface.
- Rotate the dial 360 degrees.
- Set the dial to the correct number for the radio you are installing.*
- Plug the interface back in and cycle the key on.
- Press and release the program button on the interface. After 7 seconds, the interface will flash 3 times.
- Test the steering wheel control buttons.
(*) Stinger radios use option 4.
For interfaces with dip switches.
- Unplug the interface from power (3-pin connector).
- Flip the dip switches on and off a couple of times.
- Set the dip switches to the correct number for the radio you are installing.*
- Plug the interface back in and cycle the key on.
- Press and release the program button on the interface. After 7 seconds, the interface will flash 3 times.
- Test the steering wheel control buttons.
